Warehouse and Rigging Laborer

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Pay Range: $20-$28 per hour

Job Summary: 

The Warehouse & Rigging Laborer is responsible for assisting warehouse with duties involving daily operations within the organization. This is NOT a traditional pallet-moving warehouse position. This role is both indoor/outdoor and involves knowledge of rigging, moving large machinery, and removing non-traditional loads from trailers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offload inbound machines for future customer jobs
  • Use of rigging to move large and heavy objects
  • Pallet movement within the warehouse
  • Loadout machinery for delivery
  • Inventory of machinery in storage
  • Assist in housekeeping of warehouses
  • Assist team members with machinery relocation within warehouses
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins
  • Operate forklift daily
  • Gather materials for workers to use on the job site

Education & Qualifications:

  • High School Degree/G.E.D.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar position is preferred.
  • Fork Truck Certification preferred
  • Crane Signaling preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour certification preferred
  • Basic Computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills, team player

Work Environment:

The employee frequently works in a warehouse setting and sometimes near and around moving machinery. The job is located both indoors and outdoors.

Physical Activity:

Level of work requires walking, bending, carrying, and lifting regularly. This job requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time (Monday through Friday) at our main facility in Webster, NY.
