Pay Range: $25-35/hour

Primary Job Expectation:

The Truck Driver/Rigger is responsible for operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers or straight trucks to transport and deliver heavy machinery and equipment. This role demands proficiency in rigging and the ability to safely and efficiently maneuver heavy equipment into diverse and often challenging environments.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between project managers and external customers, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
  • Safely and courteously receive, transport, and deliver customer equipment and machinery with precision and timeliness.
  • Perform rigging tasks, securing and maneuvering heavy machinery in diverse and challenging environments.
  • Operate diesel-powered vehicles to transport heavy equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections of trucks, trailers, and tools, reporting maintenance needs to ensure operational safety and compliance.
  • Level and anchor machinery at designated locations, ensuring stability and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong coordination with project managers and customers to meet project specifications and timelines.
  • Ensure all equipment deliveries and pickups are conducted accurately and productively, with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain trucks, trailers, and tools to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards, following all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate tools such as pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for efficient handling of equipment and machinery.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability when navigating varied environments, including tight spaces and complex site layouts.
  • Foster teamwork by effectively communicating with co-workers and customers, contributing to a safe and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) (required)
  • OSHA 10 (preferred)
  • Experience rigging and moving heavy equipment.

Work Environment

This role operates in a variety of environments, including warehouses, industrial sites, and outdoor locations. It involves regular exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, heavy machinery, and confined spaces. Full PPE is required at all times, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and other safety equipment as needed for specific tasks.
