Heidelberg printing presses have long been synonymous with quality and speed in the commercial printing business. With a credible reputation and superior printing solutions, they’ve earned placements in many Upstate New York printing and packaging facilities.
Due to its size and system functionality, installing a Heidelberg requires professional expertise and resources. After units are manufactured in the plant, they go through an extensive leveling and aligning process that is electronically measured, logged, and then stamped on to each section. Once onsite, it is a very delicate installation process that involves coordination with Heidelberg reps and frequent adjustments until each section corresponds with the numbers measured in the facility.
The Customer Request
As the region’s most trusted Heidelberg installer, a local customer came to us seeking installation services for their new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 printing press.
The Boulter Solution
The machine arrived in six truckloads at our customer’s facility. From there, we began the installation process by offloading and transporting each unit to the site with our 15/25 HOIST forklift. Over five days, we worked with the local Heidelberg reps to assemble, level, and align the press components, feeder, delivery, control console, drive motor, and miscellaneous control cabinets.
