Crating and Packaging Laborer
Reports To: Operations Manager
Pay Range: $18-$28 per hour
To provide a variety of light carpentry work for packaging and crating division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembling precut crates with nail gun.
- Bracing parts in crates with nail gun or staple gun.
- Stacking and inventory lumber.
- Moving machine parts and securing into assembled crates.
- Clean up of work areas to prepare for the next crate.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent diploma.
- Minimum 1 years of professional experience in related position
- Forklift certification & experience preferred
Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse and woodworking environment. This role routinely uses carpentry tools, measuring devices, nail gun and sawing equipment. Full PPE is mandatory in this position and is provided by the employer (except steel-toe boots)—exposure to warehouse temperatures.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time (Monday through Friday) position.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Level of work required is walking, carrying, bending, and lifting on a regular basis. Lifting of no more than 50 lbs. at one time.
- Mid-level English language skills. Ability to read and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with employees of the organization.
- Mathematics skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to work independently as well as a team member.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change
